Important Shipping Update:
November 15, 2024
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced a national strike starting November 15, 2024 at 12:01 AM ET. Canada Post’s operations will shut down during a national strike, which will lead to shipping delays and the closure of some post offices. Existing packages that have already been introduced into the Canada Post network will be stored securely. Once their operations resume, all packages in the postal network will be delivered as quickly as possible. For the latest negotiations updates, please visit the Canada Post website.
We know that this isn’t an ideal situation and want to reassure you that we will continue to ship your herbs during this time.
If you placed an order that has been shipped via Canada Post already, your delivery will unfortunately be delayed. Going forward, we will be shipping all orders via UPS (tracking included) for a flat rate of $19.99. Until further notice, this is the only shipping service that we are able to offer. Shipping to the the USA is temporarily suspended, and will resume when the strike is over.

What are your shipping options?
We want to be the best herb store near you - wherever you are! We welcome herb buyers and customers from both Canada and the USA, and offer multiple shipping options to help meet your needs.
For all orders being sent within Canada, we provide free untracked shipping (regardless of how much you buy from us). We also offer a tracked shipping option within Canada for a flat rate of $9.99.
For those located in the USA who wish to buy from us, we offer a flat rate tracked shipping option for $14.99.
How long does processing and shipping take?
When you buy herbs from us, we want to make sure that you receive them quickly. We strive to ship all orders within 1-2 business days of receipt; occasionally, we may be a little behind due to holiday or order rush. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email. In general, once your order is shipped it will spend 5-14 business days in transit before it arrives.
Where are your products shipped from?
All of our products are shipped from Vancouver, Canada. Before purchasing, check for restrictions on herbs within your country. Laws vary by country and state, and we are not responsible for seized items.
Can I pick up my order?
Unfortunately, we not able to offer in-person pickup at this time. If you are located in Vancouver, we kindly ask that you allow us to ship your order via Canada Post. We are happy to provide free shipping as an alternative to picking-up your order.
Why didn’t I receive an email confirming shipment?
Unfortunately, some email services mark our messages as junk/spam. We will send you an order confirmation email as soon as you place an online order with us. When your order has left our facility in Vancouver and is en route to you, we send another confirmation email letting you know that your herbs have been shipped. If you didn’t receive an email confirmation, or sent us an email and did not see a response, please check your junk folders and adjust your email settings to ensure that we are on your safe senders list.
I have special delivery instructions (ie. back door, side door, etc). Where do I write my instructions?
If you have special delivery instructions, please write them in the second line of your shipping address when placing your order. We will do our best to include all instructions given when creating your shipping label.
Product Information
Where do you source your herbs from?
Our herbs are sourced from all over the world, and we purchase items from multiple different farmers to ensure that we are getting the best quality possible. This means that the country of origin for each herb may change occasionally. Please read the individual item descriptions for the most current country of origin information.
How big is a 50g bag of herbs?
The volume of each herb depends on its density. Like people, each plant is unique, although we can give you some general guidelines to help you decide how much to order. Roots, barks, seeds, and powders are usually quite dense, and 50g would be approximately 8-10 teaspoons. Leaves and flowers tend to be fluffier, and 50g will usually be about 30-40 teaspoons.
What is the difference between organic and wildcrafted?
Most of the herbs that we carry are organic. This means that they have been certified organic by the USDA, and have been grown without the use of pesticides.
Wildcrafted means that the herbs have been ethically and sustainably collected from their habitat in nature, although they are not certified as organic. Wildcrafted herbs are considered a ‘clean’ source of medicine, similar to organic, as they are grown in the wild, away from pollution and pesticide use.
Occasionally, you will see one of our products listed as being grown without chemicals. This means that it is grown without the use of pesticides, although it is not certified as USDA organic. Many small farms are not certified as organic, despite growing their herbs using organic methods. This is because organic certification can be incredibly expensive for a small operation, and it is often more efficient for them to simply sell their items as being ‘grown without chemicals’.
Purchasing, payment, Contact & Returns
Can I modify my order after I buy my herbs?
We are unable to modify an order after it has been placed. If you would like to add an item to an order that has already been placed, please place a second order as soon as possible for the item that you would like to add, and we will do our best to ship it together with your initial order.
Do you accept returns?
Given the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If a product is missing or damaged in your order, please contact us at info@zhiherbals.com within 30 days of placing your order.
I contacted you with a question. How long will it take to hear back?
We do our best to respond to all inquiries as quickly as we can. The fastest way for us to connect with you is via our email, info@zhiherbals.com. Due to the high number of inquiries that we receive, it may take up to two business days for us to return emails.

Do you offer a wholesale discount?
We are not accepting wholesale orders at this time. To be notified when we are offering a wholesale buying discount again, please send an email to info@zhiherbals.com with ‘wholesale’ in the subject line.
